Where is the Arts and Sciences On-line Testing Center located?
Burnett Hall 127
When is the Arts and Sciences On-line Testing Center open?
Please refer to the home page of this site for the testing center's operating hours. No new tests may be started after the posted closing time. Students with tests in progress may continue for one-half hour after closing at which time all tests must be graded.
What services does the testing center staff provide?

The student proctors and testing center coordinator are available to ensure academic honesty and provide help with technical questions and operations. Under no circumstances is any member of the testing center authorized to answer content related questions. The testing center staff will not be responsible for collecting any worksheets, forms, or other materials the course instructor has told his/her students to hand in at the lab.

What happens when a student is caught in an activity which violates the student code for academic honesty?
If a student is caught cheating or committing any type of act which violates the student code of conduct, the proctor will refer the matter to the coordinator. An incident report will be completed and sent to the course instructor with a copy sent to Judical Affairs. If the same student is caught a second time, the coordinator reserves the right to disallow the student from using the testing center for the remainder of the semester.
Who are the key contacts for the Arts and Sciences On-line Testing Center?
You should contact Pat Hust (phust1@unl.edu) to arrange your testing schedule. Scheduling starts before the beginning of the semester. The sooner you decide to have a web test, the more able we are to accommodate your date request for facility use. The EDU Support Desk (EDUsupport2@unl.edu) will help you with any technical questions. The EDU Support Desk phone is 402-472-9305
When I have decided to use the testing center, what information do I need to provide?
Please complete the Instructor Contract form requesting use of the testing center. This simply asks for basic information such as how many tests you will have, preferred dates for the test, enrollment, etc. You will need to fill out this form to have your test scheduled in the testing center. The form is available on-line by clicking here.
What information do I need to pass along to my students about taking web tests?
First, you should indicate in your syllabus basic information about the testing center (hours, expectations, etc) and refer them to the Testing Center at Burnett 127. All students must have their UNL student i.d. with them to take a proctored exam. With special permission, another current photo identification may be accepted for some classes. You should also indicate to them that scratch paper will be available and whether or not calculators will be allowed.
