If you use the Qusetion Bank Editor, in the first screen you need to choose a topic from where to take the questions from.

The second screen :

Remove questions form source topic: This will take the questions away from the topic that you're using them from, instead of just making a copy to use.

Numbering Style: This selects the type of sybols that you want to appear before each sub-question.

Select Questions & Assign Weightings: Here you can choose which questions out of the topc you would like to put in the multipart question, and you can also assign a different number of points that each question is worth.
