February Forum, an annual event coordinated and hosted by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Center for Science, Mathematics and Computer Education, has been recognizing outstanding undergraduate women since 2005. Initially created as a symposium in 1977 by the Chapter of the Graduate Women in Science (GWIS), the forum has grown into a campus tradition to honor outstanding junior and senior women majoring in scientific fields.
UNL's science-related departments are invited annually to select outstanding undergraduate women to be honored. The department chair traditionally introduces their students at the forum and presents certificates attesting to their excellence. Other attendees include professors and family members. A program that features a keynote speaker follows the banquet. One hundred forty-two attended the buffet banquet to honor sixty-nine students from 15 departments in 2008.

- 5:30 - Social time
