OPS TLA | Fellowships
Take up to 3 Graduate Courses for Free per Year
Thanks to the generous support of The Sherwood Foundation® and the Lozier Foundation, OPS teachers who teach mathematics are eligible to apply for fellowships to cover the full cost of tuition and fees for graduate courses offered by UNL’s NMSSI program and online course offerings during the fall or spring semesters approved by OPS TLA. To accommodate OPS teachers, each summer some NMSSI courses will be offered in Omaha at the TAC Building or online. NMSSI in-person courses are offered in a concentrated one- or two-week format, thus protecting much of the teacher’s time in the summer for other activities.
Springboard to a Master's Degree
OPS teachers interested in earning a master's degree from UNL should apply for their degree before earning 18 credit hours through OPS TLA courses. Read about both degree options, the Master of Arts from the Department of Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education for elementary teachers and the Master of Arts for Teachers from the Department of Mathematics for secondary teachers, and download a copy of the application steps here.
