As a Noyce Master Teaching Fellow, my work is grounded in science education research that emphasizes equity, inclusion, and teacher leadership as central to meaningful science learning. While standards-aligned curriculum creates opportunities for equitable instruction, teachers’ lived experiences with curriculum implementation reflect a complex process that intersects with teachers’ content knowledge and instructional skill, professional identity, and the school and district structures that shape their work. My professional interests focus on understanding how science teachers engage in this work in contexts where instructional coaching and curriculum support are limited or unavailable. I am particularly interested in how schools can design structures that support collaboration, professional trust, and shared leadership so that all teachers are positioned to grow their practice and exercise professional agency. Through my supporting roles in curriculum selection, adoption, and implementation, I aim to elevate teacher voice, strengthen self-efficacy, and contribute to inclusive systems that support equitable science learning for all students.
